The historic date 16th July 2019 brought forth the amendment of Article 119(1) of the Federal Constitution where the minimum voting age in Malaysia was reduced from 21 to 18 years old. It was the first time in the history of the Parliament that a Constitutional Amendment received 100% of votes in the Upper and Lower Houses of Parliament. With an election approaching in less than 2 years, the whole country is looking forward to UNDI18. The doubt of its implications will soon be resolved; however, the uncertainties of the future will still be a matter of the moment.
In conjunction with the Malaysia Day, Higher Education Malaysia Association (HEYA) presents an exclusive discussion to take a glance at the current state and the future of UNDI18. We will be having Dr. Mohd Azmir Bin Mohd Nizah who will be speaking from the academic perspective and Ms. Charlene See from Undi18 sharing her passion on empowering Malaysian youth to shape the nation’s future.
