Approximately 10 million people have been displaced and 21000 lives have been lost since Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February 2022. Internationally considered a war of aggression, this invasion is the single most powerful conventional military attack on a European state since World War II.
Higher Education Malaysia Association (HEYA) presents you a webinar to understand the humanitarian issues faced by Ukraine people as the invasion continues.
Joining us to uncover the situation in Ukraine is Mariia Donets, a Ukrainian who is a Chevening Scholar 2020/21 and former UN Youth Delegate. Ms Mariia will help us take a look at the humanitarian issues and the on-ground situation surrounding Ukrainians amidst the war. She has obtained her MSc. International Social and Public Policy degree in the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) under the sponsorship of the Chevening Scholarship.
